Bio
Damian is an eclectic composer from Neuquén, Argentina, with an undying love for all things video games, movies and comic books.
As a kid he wanted to draw his own comics — until he discovered that hammering random keys on a synth was a far more effective form of self-expression than scribbling panels and speech bubbles.
He finished his classical piano studies at Fracassi Conservatory and kept adding instruments to the arsenal. It wasn't long before he found out that bashing drums Gene Krupa-style is a lot of fun.
He performed, recorded and toured with a number of bands — including the renewed Pearl Jam tribute Begonia, the technical-death underdogs Polybius, and the avant-garde jazz trio Mas Frescos Que Una Lechuga (a fine example of a horrible band name) with bass superstar Nacho Rodriguez.
Always with a knack for writing his own music, he moved back to Neuquén, studied audio engineering and started scoring for local talent — from famed racer Juan María Nimo's heartwarming life-story interview by Daniela Cartelli, to the ukulele-cute driven tracks of Germany's Cinnamoniboni.
By 2018 he had scored the Nairobi Film Festival–nominated Spanish short "Medicina Natural" and been commissioned by Twitch streamer Gabbmew to write her channel intro.
Focusing on gaming audio, Damian composed the soundtrack for the voxel-art indie Darkness (ScaniX), scored the acclaimed retro point-and-click adventure Session Seven (9/10 on Steam), and designed the sound for the browser puzzler Tube Frenzy (Plays Nicely).
Today he is lead composer and sound designer at the Argentinian indie studio Team Cefiro, preparing the release of their sci-fi adventure debut, Verónica Mertens.
